Perth Artist & Art Teacher
Equine, Pet Portrait, Seascape , Abstract & Resin Artist
I’m a Perth-based artist specialising in seascapes, abstracts, and contemporary equine art.
Working from my East Victoria Park studio, I create expressive works inspired by the movement, light, and energy of the Western Australian coastline.
I’ve been painting since childhood and formally studied Visual Arts at Edith Cowan University. After a 20-year career in business and accounting, I returned to art full-time in 2016, reconnecting with my lifelong creative practice.
My work is driven by texture, movement, and layered colour, capturing emotion and atmosphere through both traditional paint and resin mediums. I’m drawn to the balance between softness and strength, abstraction and form.
Alongside my studio practice, I teach Resin Art, Alcohol Ink, and Oil Painting workshops, sharing technique and creative confidence with artists of all ages. I’m also the proud co-founder of Shades Resin Co, a Western Australian–owned range of specialist artist resin and pigments — made by artists, for artists — developed through years of research, testing, and hands-on studio use.
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” — Pablo Picasso
